10 million kids — 1 million trees
The Arbola Foundation will engage 10 million children to plant one million trees. It’s a simple mission, but a powerful one, and we are well on our way.
- Direct Grants. We give grants to schools, nonprofits, and other child-friendly organizations to bring kids together from different backgrounds, regions, religions, creeds, colors, and sexual orientations.
- Veteran Partnerships. We encourage veterans groups to partner with children’s groups and schools to receive grants to plant trees.
Each year, all trees are planted by our grantees on April 22, Earth Day.
Applications will be available here in January. Eligibility includes schools, 501c3 nonprofits, veterans groups in partnership with children’s groups, and other tax exempt organizations. All organizations must represent children, or be partnered with one or more children’s groups.
Scoring is based simply on the number of children engaged, the diversity of those children, and the number of trees planted. How the organization uses funds from the Arbola Foundation to leverage matching trees from other donors, or vice versa, will be most highly regarded. Each year, awards are made in March for planting trees on April 22, Earth Day.
Whether you help through monetary donations, volunteering your time, or spreading our mission through word-of-mouth, thank you. We couldn't accomplish our goals without the help of supporters like you.
